Dr. Cristina Valenzuela, PT, DPT, OCS, has been a Physical Therapist since 2015. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego, with a B.A. in Human Development. She then went on to study at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where she earned her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
Cristina returned to her native Sand Diego after working as a Physical Therapist for two years in Indio, CA. During this time, she completed a residency in orthopedics and is certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Dr. Valenzuela also maintains an active membership in the American Physical Therapy Association.
Growing up, Cristina was involved in multiple sports, but soccer has always been her primary passion. Her love for sports is what fueled her decision to pursue Physical Therapy as a career. She values one-on-one, quality patient care and is passionate about injury prevention in athletes of all ages. Through her work as a Physical Therapist, Dr. Valenzuela hopes to get involved in the community and become a sought out Physical Therapist for individuals in San Diego County looking to improve their function, movement, and overall performance.
Outside the clinic, Cristina enjoys outdoor activities, such as playing sports, going to the beach, and kayaking. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and enjoying all that San Diego has to offer.
